The short 45 second film clip featured was created by Primary Care Services North Cumbria for use across social media to help get the word out to communities and patients who might be unaware or confused by the service's name change.

A mental health service that was previously known as 'First Steps' has recently changed its name to 'North Cumbria Talking Therapies'.

The service for anxiety and depression is provided by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and has been known locally for a number of years as 'First Steps'.

The communities in North Cumbria (which covers West, East and North Cumbria) are being assured that the service is still in operation to help people it's just under the new name of 'North Cumbria Talking Therapies'. It's the same service it's just been 'rebranded' and had it's name updated.

The service still continues to provide free, talking therapies to adults (18+) in North Cumbria
(for individuals living in South Cumbria please visit NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Talking Therapies here).

It can help with a range of common mental health problems including mild to moderate depression, anxiety disorders (such as chronic worry, panic attacks, health anxiety and obsessions), mild bulimia, or sleep problems).
