New cancer resources have now been added to the Primary Care Services North Cumbria website.
This includes information on FIT tests, including an information leaflet in multiple languages and videos translated subtitle options.
FIT tests are used to find early bowel cancer by the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and is a test for patients who attend their GP surgery with certain symptoms.
There is also information on cervical screening (which used to be called the smear test) featuring a video of nurses in North Cumbria explaining the appointments and also links to letters in a number of different languages.
