Penrith and Eden's Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club offered free health checks by Primary Care teams.
The Breakfast Club which meets the first Saturday and third Sunday of the month were offered the checks as part of a collaboration between Primary Care Services North Cumbria and Birbeck Medical Group, taking place at Penrith's Premier Inn.
Sam Gargett, Project Manager for Primary Care Services North Cumbria said: "It was a fantastic event and brilliant to meet everyone. We were offering health checks alongside one of our practices, Birbeck Medical Group - as part of Eden Primary Care Network.
"The feedback has been fantastic and everyone has loved us being here and have been so welcoming. We've also been giving out information on early diagnosis of cancer. It's all really been a team effort and many thanks to all involved and to all the members of the breakfast club."
Kerryanne Wilde, Administrator for the Penrith and Eden Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club explained: "The Breakfast Club is a community and our club is just a small part of a world-wide community of veteran's breakfast clubs. Here in Penrith we also cover the Eden, so it's a wide area that we're covering.
"It's for all those that have served and in the armed forces, those that are currently serving and their dependents to come along and meet like minded people."
