The 10th anniversary of a Carlisle Skills Fair hosted by MP John Stevenson took place on 25th January 2024 and Primary Care Services North Cumbria were in attendance to highlight the range of careers available.
The fair, which took place at Carlisle College, offered a huge range of organisations for students to chat with and learn more about potential careers in Cumbria.
Primary Care Services North Cumbria were in attendance to promote the massive range of diverse jobs available across our primary care teams in the North Cumbria area.
They also used the opportunity to highlight an upcoming online work experience (Springpod) programme which launches in February which is open to anyone aged 13+ and ideal for students deciding on their career paths (more info here).
Paul Day, Communications and Media Project Manager for Primary Care North Cumbria said: "It was a great day and the NHS were out in force showing the massive range of roles available across our organisations.
"It was great to be there representing our local primary care and also working alongside our colleagues from North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
"A huge well done to the event organisers and to all the students who took part. It felt like a really positive afternoon and we had lots of good conversations with students who were interested in healthcare and how they could look into various career paths."
